Morning Sunshine Review & Giveaway!

When Hachette Book Group generously offered to send me a copy of Robin Meade's Morning Sunshine, I jumped on the offer. I love her show, and was anxious to read the book and find out more of her story.

As the anchor of Morning Express on Headline News (HLN) one would expect Robin Meade to exhibit never-ending confidence and high self-esteem. Meade does this effortlessly, however things were not always this way.

Robin Meade's book, Morning Sunshine, published by Hachette Group, details the difficult, and sometimes dark, journey that she took through anxiety issues, including panic attacks and confidence issues.

In a profession where lack of confidence and self esteem can ruin your career, Meade chronicles her journey with vulnerability, and an honesty I have not seen for a long time (in media types).

Morning Sunshine is a very easy, and quick read. It is written in a conversational style, which made me feel like I was sitting and having coffee with Ms. Meade while hearing her story.

At the end of each chapter, Meade has "What I've Learned", "Confidence Boosters", "Takeaways" and "Robin's Ramblings". All of which give the reader great nuggets of information to increase their own confidence. Also, each chapter is the perfect length, not to long or short.

I found it very refreshing that the life of a celebrity was so "real". I don't often say that I can relate to the trials and tribulations of a celebrity. However, I can honestly say that many of the situations that Meade has experienced I also have experienced.

This helps one realize that celebrities, whoever they are, are human, even if they outer appearance does not always convey that! The honesty that Robin Meade possesses and shows throughout Morning Sunshine was very refreshing!

  5. This sounds like a very interesting book. I am painfully shy and I just learned to bulldoze my way through, force myself to go outside of my comfort zone. I have to say the internet has helped me reach out more and I have met several online friends in person.
