Popatot - A Review & Giveaway
Since I am a mom of a 15 month old, I am always looking out for "affordable" baby gear! I am not one to buy because of a name brand per say, but I do appreciate quality and if the price is right, that is a bonus.
As parents, we can be bombarded by the amount of baby gear that is needed to transport, change, keep baby safe, and entertained. Its exhausting even thinking about it.
I recently came across a product that I just have to tell my readers about. Its called the Popatot and its amazing!
The PopATot by Kiddy Creations is a PVC-free canvas activity center supported by a folding steel tube frame, much like a camp chair. The rated age range is 6 to 18 months. It opens with one hand and has a locking system to keep it from collapsing.
The PopATot is 27″x27″x24″ and collapses into a shoulder bag 5 inches wide and 36 inches long. It has loops on the top to attach toys (which a parent supplies) as well as two cup holders.
The floor of the PopATot is removable and machine washable (hang dry only) but the top is not washable except with a wet cloth to spot wash.
The PopATot essentially serves the same purpose as a traditional activity center (does not spin), and the play yard. It provides a safe place for a child to sit and play, even when outdoors.
There are also some great accessories for the PopATot, including sun shades, toy links and toys.
Stacy at Kiddie Creations generously sent me a complimentary PopATot to test out and review. Thank you so much!
When I found out that I was going to be reviewing this product I was so excited! And I have not been disappointed.
The first thing that impressed me was how quick the shipping was, even to Canada. I found out that I would be receiving the PopATot on a Friday afternoon and received it the following Wednesday afternoon!! Wow, wow, wow!
Secondly, the customer service I received was nothing but wonderful! I spoke with Stacy regularly through email and once on the phone, finding out more about the PopATot. She was friendly and very helpful. Thanks to you, Stacy.
Third, my daughter loves the PopATot! As soon as it came to my door, I put her in it and she was very happy, at least long enough for me to mop my floors:) She is a very active child and has not been in an activity center for quite some time because she loves to be free to move (been walking since she was 11 mths and crawling since 5.5 mths). However, she did not mind being in the Popatot at all. She played with toys, and would put toys and her cup in the holders over and over.
Because she is a bigger child (28lb and 31 inches), she is getting to the size limit for the PopATot, but has not even attempted to climb out.
Fourth, I love how portable the it is. We spent the weekend out of town and brought the PopATot with us. Just fold it up, place in bag & put it in the trunk and done, it goes with you (just like the lawn chairs!) You can take the PopATot everywhere!!! In your yard in the summer when you are entertaining, moving the lawn, gardening. In the winter, to hockey games, in the library, and restaurants (we tried that out, and it worked great!) You can use it all over the house too (laundry room, for example while you iron clothes your baby is within sight and happy and safe)
While visiting family over the Thanksgiving weekend, I was able to test the PopATot with my sisters little boy, who is 5 months old! He LOVED it!!! Smiled the whole time, and played with the toys my sister attached for him. She even was able to clip his soother on it for him! Because of his age, of course he only lasted a few minutes, but that is understandable.
Since my youngest daughter is getting too big it, and I currently do not have any little ones who would benefit from the PopATot in my home daycare, I gave the PopATot to my sister to use in her home for a few months!!! In fact, she was able to carry on the plane with her while traveling home, and said she could not believe how great it was to have in the airport:)
Just this week alone, she has been able to bring it to her other children's soccer AND hockey games!!! In fact, she said that it was perfect for both! When you have 3 children in sports and have to bring the baby along, this is perfect!!!!
