Slip Of The Knife: Book Review & Giveaway!

About The Book:

Paddy Meehan is no stranger to murder--as a reporter she lives at crime scenes--but nothing has prepared her for this visit from the police. Her former boyfriend and fellow journalist Terry Patterson has been found hooded and shot through the head. Paddy knows she will be of little help--she had not seen Terry in more than six months. So she is bewildered to learn that in his will he has left her his house and several suitcases full of notes. Drawn into a maze of secrets and lies, Paddy begins making connections to Terry's murder that no one else has seen, and soon finds herself trapped in the most important--and dangerous--story of her career.

My Review:

Slip Of The Knife is the second book by Denise Mina that I have read and I have to say that I really did enjoy this book. It is the third book in a series, and I will definitely be going back to read the previous two books (The Dead Hour and Field Of Blood) so that I can learn more about the characters and storylines. Though it is not necessary to read the first two, it will likely help out a lot with some of my initial confusion. The characters in Slip Of The Knife are well developed and each have distinct personalities and vivid descriptions so you can really visualize them as you read. This suspense/crime novel will have you thinking and guessing "whodoneit" until the very end! I highly recommend this book and give it a thumbs up!
