This Little Prayer Of Mine - Blog Tour & Giveaway

About The Book:

Nothing Compares to Childlike Faith

I know you're up in heaven, God,
and can hear my voice from there.
I'm just a little child.
Will you answer my short prayer?

So begins this delightful book that affirms God's readiness to answer our prayers, no matter what our age.

With engaging rhymes and beautiful illustrations,
This Little Prayer of Mine assures children that God is always near--watching, listening, caring, and eager to respond to their requests. They'll also learn that prayer isn't just about asking for things, but about sharing their feelings of sadness and uncertainty as well as of thanksgiving and joy.

Most importanly,
This Little Prayer of Mine reminds children—and those who love them—that they can trust God to tenderly care for them, no matter what the future holds.

Everyday we must live in a close trusting relationship with God, always looking to Him for comfort and direction through prayer. This Little Prayer of Mine is the springboard for helping children to establish that type of life-long relationship with our Heavenly Father.  Both parents and children alike will praise Anthony DeStefano for this amazing little book.

About The Author:

Anthony DeStefano has received many prestigious awards from religious organizations throughout the world for his efforts to advance Christian beliefs in modern culture. These include an honorary doctorate from the National Clergy Council and the Methodist Episcopal Church's Joint Academic Commission, as well as the "Defender of Israel" medal from the Jerusalem Center for Peace Studies, conferred on him in 2003. He is the CEO of a Catholic not-for-profit organization; he lives in Long Island with his wife, Kimberly, a kindergarten teacher.

My Review:

This is a beautiful book!  The illustrations are fantastic and it is an easy to read book that confirms that God is always ready to hear and answer our prayers when we ask. This book is written for children ages 4-8 but I read it to my daughter, who is three and she really liked it. After we read it, right away she wanted to pray with me:) What a wonderful moment for us. We pray every night at bedtime, and at meals, but this book is a wonderful way to teach children that you can pray anytime of the day, and in any situation (like being fearful, or making good choices), and God will hear you.

A wonderful gift idea for any child in your life. This would also be a wonderful child dedication, or baby shower gift. I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!

  5. I think 360degree life would be a good one to read by Billy Joe Daughtry. I could use some readings about faith.

This Little Prayer of Mine sounds like a great book to read to my son.

  6. I would love to read Grandmother's Book of Promises by Karen Hill and then send it to my grandson. Because of my poor health at this time, I have only been able to fly to see him once in the last 2.5 years. This is another way of telling him how much I love him and to help him to not forget me.

    Thank you,
