Everybody's Hero: Etsy Shop Review & Giveaway!

I have recently discovered the wonderful world of Etsy! I have found so many wonderful shops on there and my wish list is rapidly growing everyday! These shops have everything from clothing to toys to jewelry. I love that the items are handmade and you can also support shops in your local area! If you have not checked out Etsy before you must now, and I know you will love it!

One of the shops I have had the pleasure to find is called Everybody's Hero. They carry the cutest capes for children!

About Everyday Hero Capes:

Everybody's Hero capes are for the hero in every child. They are handmade, customizable and REVERSIBLE!!! What child doesn't want to be the star super hero while playing? With our reversible capes, they can have TWO secret identities!

The capes are completely customizable! When ordering a cape, please choose 2 cape colors (two sides), an emblem shape and an initial letter for the child. The color of the emblem and initial letter is usually determined by the color of the cape you chose, if you prefer a different color, please let me know in your order details.

All the solid colors are made of poly-satin material so every cape is shiny just like a super hero.

All capes are hand cut and machine sewn. All emblems and letters are hand cut and sewn on.

All capes have a Velcro™ closure at the neck for safety. Cape should be placed on the child’s back, with the collar placed around the child’s neck and Velcro™ enclosure adjusted to the largest possible width around child’s neck.

Please note that production time can take up to three weeks depending on my current work load. If you need a rush order, please contact me prior to ordering so I can make sure I can accomodate you. Thanks!

My Review:

When I found out I was going to be reviewing a cape from Everyday Hero, I was estatic. I knew as I found this shop that my girls, and my home daycare children would love this product for their pretend play experiences. I was so not disappointed.

Right from the beginning of email conversations, the process to order a cape was easy. You have to first pick the color(s) you want your cape to be and the emblem you want, as well as the initials you want used on the cape. Easy peasy! Then you place your order and wait for it to arrive. I did this process with my daughter, and she loved that she could pick the colors and emblem! Of course, she picked pink (not a surprise there!). We ended up getting a cape that is pink on one side and silver on the other. And, I was also able to get one initial for each child on the cape, which was awesome. I also like that the price is very reasonable, ranging from $23 to $28 depending on the size. Of course, there is also shipping and different prices for custom work.

To care for the capes they need to be hand washed and hung to dry, but they do dry fairly quickly! You can also iron them with a low temp iron (although by my pictures, we have not done that LOL)

I am very pleased with this product, it is made extremely well, I love that it is reversible, washable, and I know it will bring many hours of fun for my girls and their friends!

I highly recommend this product and give it a huge thumbs up!
