Maid To Match: Book Review

About The Book:

From the day she arrives at the Biltmore, Tillie Reese is dazzled--by the riches of the Vanderbilts and by Mack Danvers, a mountain man turned footman. When Tillie is enlisted to help tame Mack's rugged behavior by tutoring him in proper servant etiquette, the resulting sparks threaten Tillie's efforts to be chosen as Edith Vanderbilt's lady's maid. After all, the one rule of the house is no romance below stairs.
But the stakes rise even higher when Mack and Tillie become entangled in a cover-up at the town orphanage. They could both lose their jobs, their aspirations ...and their hearts

My Review:

I had the pleasure of reading  Deanne Gist's book, Beguiled, earlier this year, so when the opportunity came up to review her new book, Maid To Match, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed in this book at all.

A very well-written book, with a substantial amount of historical descriptions, it is very apparent that Gist did a ton of research to make this book as accurate as possible. I felt like I was a part of early 20th century social classes, and I loved how Gist developed the character in such a real manner.  I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and feel that the author did a fantastic job of making the passion between them real, yet tasteful.

If you like Christian historical fiction, you will immensely enjoy Maid To Match. The plot line and writing style of Gist will keep you fixated until the end of book! You will not want to put it down. I look forward to reading the next novel from Deanne Gist, and crossing my fingers that it may be a sequel to Maid To Match!!!

I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
