Prairie Naturals Probiotic Gum: Review & Giveaway

I recently a great Canadian company called Prairie Naturals. They carry all kinds of wonderful, natural products such as Whey Protein, Supplements and Hair Care, for the entire family. One product that I was introduced to is Cultured Care Probiotic Gum.

About Cultured Care Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12:

CulturedCare™ Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12™ is Canada’s first and only probiotic gum created especially for the health of the mouth and throat.

Based upon over 30 years of research by Professor John Tagg, a leading researcher in the field of probiotics, CulturedCare™ Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12™ is considered an ideal method for distribution of BLIS K12™, the revolutionary probiotic discovered by Professor Tagg.

Professor Tagg is Professor of Immunology and Microbiology at University of Otago in New Zealand. His personal battle with strep throat, rheumatic fever and 10 years of antibiotic treatment inspired him to dedicate his life to researching probiotics.

Professor Tagg has published more than 50 articles pertaining to his BLIS probiotic research in scientific journals including the Lancet. BLIS stands for Bacteriocin-Like-Inhibitory-Substance.

“Infection protection starts in the mouth,” states Professor Tagg. “There are many strains of probiotics for the intestinal tract, but they do not give protection where it is needed most – in the mouth. BLIS K12™ is an oral probiotic. It provides the mouth with the probiotic protection and resistance it needs to fight the bacteria that cause throat infections, earache and bad breath.”

CulturedCare™ Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12™ was developed in cooperation with Professor Tagg and is made in Canada using a proprietary, cold-pressed technology that ensures the live bacteria remain active and effective.

Xylitol, the primary sweetener used in making CulturedCare™ Probiotic Gum with BLIS K12™, has shown to reduce tooth decay and gum disease.

CulturedCare™ is a division of Prairie Naturals and specializes in the development of probiotic products in partnership with leading scientists.

My Review:

I have to admit, I do not know alot about probiotics, other than what I have seen advertised in various products on television. I know probiotics are healthy for you and so I did some research about them as part of this review! Because of that research, I am going to be making a conscious effort to take in more probiotics. I know how important it is to be healthy and if there are "natural" ways to do that, I am all for it.

Besides the obvious health benefits of its main ingredients, probiotics, one thing that I noticed about Cultured Care Probiotic Gum was the flavor. I was able to try out three different flavors of gum: Spearmint-Peppermint, Raspberry-Pomegranate, and Mango-Guava. They were all very fruity, without being overpowering! And you only have to chew it for 5-10 minutes in order to get a daily therapeutic dose of the probiotics (500 million active bacteria). That is awesome!

If you are looking for a great way to get priobiotics into your daily routine, Cultured Care Probiotic Gum is a great way to do it! I highly recommend this product and give it a huge thumbs up!
