Private: Book Review & Giveaway
The Police Can't Help You
Former Marine helicopter pilot Jack Morgan runs Private, a renowned investigation company with branches around the globe. It is where you go when you need maximum force and maximum discretion. The secrets of the most influential men and women on the planet come to Jack daily - and his staff of investigators use th world's most advanced forensic tools to make and break their cases.
The Press Will Destroy You
Jack is already deep into the investigation of a multimillion-dollar NFL gambling scandal and the unsolved slayings of thirteen schoolgirls when he learns of a horrific murder close to home: his best friend's wife, Jack's former lover, has been killed. It nearly pushes him over the edge. Instead, Jack pushes back and devotes all of Private's resources to tracking down her killer.
Only One Place To Turn: Private
but Jack doesn't have to play by the rules. As he closes in on the killer and chooses between revenge and justice, he has to navigate a workplace love affair that threatens to blow the roof off his plans. With a plot that moves at death-defying speeds, Private is James Patterson's sleekest, most exciting thriller ever.
About The Author:
James Patterson is one of the best-loved and bestselling writers of all time. His most recent bestseller is The 9th Judgement. He lives in Florida.
Maxine Paetro is the author of three novels and two works of nonfiction, and the coauthor of eight books with James Patterson. She lives in New York with her husband.
I have been a long time fan of James Patterson, and when I had the opportunity to review his upcoming release, Private, co-written with Maxine Paetro I jumped at the chance. His books are always filled with suspense and many twists and turns. Private was no exception.
It is a well-written, easy to read book that is also very quick to read. The characters are all strongly developed and the relationships between the characters are very "real-life" One of the things that I strongly enjoyed about the book is that I could totally visualize the book in my head, like I was really there, or watching it in movie form (this would make a fantastic movie!).
If you have been a Patterson fan for a while, like myself, you will not be disappointed in Private. If you have never read any of Patterson's work, you have to, and this would be a great book to start with!. My only caution is there is a fair amount of foul language, and some detailed crime scene discussion that may be offensive to some readers. Other than that, Private was a very good book! There are many twists and turns that kept me reading with anticipation right till the end! I hope that any follow up books with Jack Morgan and crew will be just as good!
I highly recommend this book and give it a thumbs up!
