Young Minds-Numbers and Counting: Math Tutor DVD Review and Giveaway

Both of my children love to count and love learning. My three and a half year old already loves working on "homework" in her preschool workbooks and is always asking me questions about the world around her. My two year old is constantly singing, dancing and counting things (1,2, 3, repeat). I love that they love to learn and therefore, I am always on the look out for products that will encourage this thirst for knowledge.

I recently discovered a wonderful DVD developed by Math Tutor DVD.com, entitled Young Minds: Numbers and Counting

My Review:

Young Minds: Numbers and Counting is full of wonderful objects, incredible music and is very effective in teaching young children early math concepts. The bright colors immediately caught the attention of both my girls and my youngest would stand at the television and point to each item, as the child narrating the DVD would count.

Wonderful examples of visual learning! I love that children will not only learn counting but also colorings, animal and object names and sounds, AND they will also learn about classical music too.

I also love the feature of being able to play the DVD as a whole or selecting specific chapters that are assigned for each number 1-10. This is perfect for my three and a half year old who is beginning the task of recognizing numbers. We will often just watch one number repeatedly so as to emphasis one specific number as part of our homeschooling routine. This will be wonderful preparation for Preschool in September and Kindergarten next year. This DVD is great for my two year old who loves learning as well, and is starting to learning simple counting and colors with great enthusiasm. She would point out the names of many of the objects and dance to the music!

All children will be intrigued by the splashes of color and familiar objects like trucks, frogs, fish and planes! Get ready for some fun learning opportunities as you view Young Minds: Numbers and Counting with your child today!

I highly recommend this DVD and give it a huge thumbs up!
