Holiday Gift Guide Day 2: Mom's Plan It 17 Month Engagement Planner Review and Giveaway

About Families With Purpose:

We inspire and enable parents to create a meaningful family life for themselves and their children by providing products, resources, and services which empower parents to take control of their family life and build a warm and loving home.

Our History

Families with Purpose was founded in 2003 with the goal of making it easier for families to spend time just being a family.  As parents of four busy children and both working outside the home, we were feeling the frustration of not having enough quality time as a family.  Thus spawned the idea for our company, Families with Purpose. Realizing there are only so many hours in a day, our goal is to try and minimize the planning, buying, and running time for family activities, so that as parents you can relax and just enjoy your family time and the little things in life.

We also realize every family is different and what works for one family may not necessarily be what works for another.  With this thought in mind, we try hard to offer a variety of choices in our recommendations and are continually adding and expanding the content of our website.  We value the input and comments from our visitors and customers, so please feel free to contact us at any time.

This 17-month planner (August 2010 - December 2011) is the "take-it-with-you" version of the Mom's Plan It Calendar.  Tear-off grocery lists and weekly menus make meal planning a cinch.  Plus, there's space for writing to-do lists, instructions for baby sitters, contacts, and more.  Complete with handy stickers for making no-school days, big games, parties, and much  more.  This engagement calendar measures 6.5" x 8.5"  when closed and 12" x 8.5" when opened.

Tear-Off Grocery Lists - The handy tear-off grocery lists make it easier than ever to get grocery shopping done quickly and without forgetting a thing.

Weekly Menu Planning - Plan your meals for the week with the built in weekly meal planner.  Simply jot down your menu for the week and use the tear-off grocery list to record the ingredients you need.  Meal planning has never been easier.

To Do List - Keep yourself from getting overwhelmed with the handy To Do List.  Just jot down what you need to get done for the week and check them off as you complete each one.
Extra Wide Grid - Use the extra wide grid of the Mom's Plan It Engagement Calendar to write in your appointments and keep notes.

Colorful Stickers – Use the colorful stickers to quickly make note of doctor appointments, birthday parties, parent teacher conferences, and much more.

My Review:

I am the queen of day planners. In any given year, I will usually go through at least four. This is due to the fact that I find features in other planners that I like better, or suit my needs more. However, thanks to the Mom's Plan It 17 Month Engagement Planner, from Families With Purpose, I no longer need to purchase and endless supply of planners. This makes me, my husband and my wallet very happy.

I absolutely love my Mom's Plan It 17 month Engagement Planner. It has all the features I look for in a daily/weekly planner. With a pocket for lists, receipts, or coupons to the extensive address book, to the tear off menu and grocery list, I would be lost without this planner. I love that it is small enough to fit in my purse or the diaper bag (wow, can you tell I am a mom by that statement), yet because of the tear off features, I don't need to always take the whole planner with me. I think the tear off is my favorite feature. There is tons of room to write and I love that it opens flat, so it has a permanent place by my phone, without being in the way.

Even though you can no longer use the August to October 2010 pages, I use them for making notes for other things, that way the pages are necessarily wasted.

I will definitely be ordering this planner next year when it is time for a new one!

I highly recommend the Mom's Plan It 17 month Plan It Engagement Planner. It would be a great gift for any mom on your Christmas shopping list.
