Then Sings My Soul Saturday

Yahoo! It is Saturday again, and that means it's time for Then Sings My Soul Saturday, hosted by Amy at Signs, Miracles and Wonders!

Did you know there are only 48 days until Christmas! In all the chaos and busyness that this season brings, I hope that everyone takes time to think of the true reason for the season, the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that in the past, I have been all about the concerts, music, food, shopping, family gatherings and stuff and can very easily lose focus. That is why this year I have already begun to get into the "advent" season, studying scripture, listening to some worshipful Christmas music and just slowing down so my heart and mind are on Him fully, not on all the stuff going on.

Here is one song I found this week. Chris Tomlin is one of my favorite Christian music artists, and this compilation with Audrey Assad is simply beautiful.

Could've come like a mighty storm
With all the strength of a hurricane
You could've come like a forest fire
With the power of heaven in Your flame

But You came like a winter snow
Quiet and soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

You could've swept in like a tidal wave
Or an ocean to ravish our hearts
You could have come through like a roaring flood
To wipe away the things we've scarred

But You came like a winter snow
(Yes, You did)
You were quiet
You were soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

Oh, no, Your voice wasn't in a bush burning
No, Your voice wasn't in a rushing wind
It was still
It was small
It was hidden

You came like a winter snow
Quiet and soft and slow
Falling from the sky in the night
To the earth below

Falling
(Oh, yeah)
To the earth below
You came falling
From the sky in the night
To the earth below

Be Blessed this week and always!
