Deeper Into The Word - New Testament: A Book Review

About The Book:

A Fresh Look at the Words Within the Word

Words matter. God cares about them and so should we. Going a little deeper into the Bible's words can make an old passage new again, enriching your understanding of God's message to his children. Why was this word chosen rather than that one? What does it imply in its original language that you can't see in English? And without knowing Greek, how can you learn to explore the details of God's Word for yourself?

Keri Wyatt Kent provides a fresh encounter with the most important words of the New Testament. Deeper Into the Word can be used as a daily devotional or as an easy-to-use reference tool. Either way, you'll find yourself excited by the wonders of God's amazing Word.

About The Author:

Keri Wyatt Kent is the author of Breathe and has written for both the Daily Herald(Chicago) and for Willow Creek Community Church. Keri speaks often on spiritual formation. She lives with her husband and two children in Illinois.

My Review:

As as former Bible College student, I have had my fair share of using Concordances, Bible Dictionaries, Atlas, and other Bible Study tools. However, I have not really spent a lot of time in the last few years using them. Until now. Keri Wyatt Kent's most recent book, Deeper into the Word - New Testament has been a welcome addition to my Bible Study book collection.

The book is is organized in alphabetical order and covers words such as Chosen, Quiet, Patience/Patient, Church and more. The book is basically a mini-word study of 100 words, giving you a great start to doing your own in-depth studies. It is written in a very easy to understand manner and all people who are wanting to dig deeper in the Bible will benefit from this book.

If you are looking for a way to deepen your study of God's word in the upcoming year, I highly recommend Deeper Into The Word by Keri Wyatt Kent. You will not be disappointed.
