Scholastic Storybook Treasures DVD: Review and Giveaway

As I have mentioned in previous posts, I am a huge advocate for early literacy and always love reading books to my children. One of my favorite companies to get books from is Scholastic. It is the highlight of my daughter and I's day when she comes home with her Scholastic Book Club Order form. In September, my husband and I decided that each month, Makayla could pick out a certain dollar amount worth of books and she just loves to look through the flyers and circle all the books she likes. It is like Christmas when she brings home the new books, and we HAVE to read them immediately (and usually, repeatedly)

Last year I was delighted to realize that Scholastic has a series of DVD's called Storybook Treasures. What a great way to get an animated version of our favorite children's book.

For our trip to Manitoba (12 hours by car) we had picked up portable DVD players and just before our trip we picked up the Storybook Treasures Treasury of 100 Storybook Classics and it has been a huge favorite in our home ever since. We enjoy animated versions of classics like Where The Wild Things Are, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Harold and The Purple Crayon (my personal favorite).

Recently, I had the opportunity to review two more Storybook Treasures DVD's and I cannot wait to tell you all about them.
