My Review:
What a fantastic resource for mom's of all ages and stages of parenting! There is something for everyone. In a well written, and amazingly organized manner, the author covers topics from discipline to party planning to finances and more. I have learned so much from this book and I know you will too.

In part one of the book, Elwell takes an acrynom of the word MOTHER and applies Proverbs 31 to it. It really opened my eyes to what I know the Lord wants me to be as a mom and I was so excited to read this:

R-Reverent towards God
O-orator of Wisdom
O-of noble character

As I read through The Christian Mom's Idea Book, these are just a couple points that really impacted me:

"How are we doing? Are we living lives before God that are worthy of our children's respect? (p. 24)

"What a host of choices we make in our speech every day -0 in our early-morning words, our getting-read words, our telephone words, our reminder words, our mealtime words, our bedtime words. The actual words, the tone of voice we use, and the timing are all significant in communicating to those around us. Not only does the woman of excellence run an orderly house, but she has an orderly heart, which flows into orderly speech. "The law of love and kindness is written in the heart, but it shows itself in the tongue"...Wisdom and kindness. - she gives a list of verses from Proverbs for the reader to write down on index cards to remind us about wise and kind speech! (25-26)

The rest of the book is ideas on different topics from other moms, real-life moms, who have walked were I am currently in my journey. These ideas are all very easy to implement and I have learned so much from all these chapters, and from this book as a whole.

The Christian Mom's Idea Book is a perfect gift idea for a baby shower, or a gift for a new mom. They will be so blessed to receive such a wonderful tool for the journey we call parenting.
If you want an inspirational book that will help you on your journey as a Christian mom, than I highly recommend The Christian Mom's Idea Book!
