Jeremy Camp - We Cry Out: The Worship Project: A CD Review and GIVEAWAY

If you are a regular reader of A Mom After God's Own Heart, you already know that I am a huge fan of music. In our personal CD collection, my husband and I have many types of music, from Classic Rock to Classical to Country and Contemporary Christian. My favorite recently is Praise and Worship. I have loved the fact that many of my favorite CCM artists, such as Michael W. Smith, Casting Crowns, and Kutless, have released worship CD's in the last number of years. One of the most recent releases that I have had the pleasure of listening to is We Cry Out: The Worship Project from Jeremy Camp.

About We Cry Out: The Worship Project:

Grammy-nominated and RIAA multi-Gold selling artist Jeremy Camp is set to release his seventh studio project, We Cry Out - The Worship Project. Once again Camp teamed up with award-winning producer Brown Bannister to create a heartfelt, worshipful project. Returning to his worship music roots, he co-wrote with other notable worship leaders Matt Maher, Reuben Morgan (Hillsong) and Brenton Brown. "It is an overwhelming joy to see how the Lord has been faithful even though I am undeserving of it,” shared Camp thinking back on his career. “I just want to continue to seek Him in all that I do, and want to always remember that it’s the Lord doing the work...not me!

The CD was released in Fall 2010, throughout the world.

My Review:

We Cry Out: The Worship Project is the first CD from Jeremy Camp that I have actually owned, but I am no stranger to his music. I have followed Camp for many years through radio and Youtube.  When I first listened to music from Stay (written as his personal testimony of dealing with the death of his first wife from cancer months after their wedding) I was in awe with the rawness and honesty with which Jeremy Camp writes. Jeremy Camp is marketed at a Rock Artist, and over the last eight years his music has definitely resonated that style and was also fantastic, he initially wanted to focus on worship music and with We Cry Out has accomplished this task.

We Cry Out: The Worship Project covers many of my favorite songs, and I absolutely loved his version of You Never Let Go (a great Matt Redman song) and Mighty To Save (a Hillsong classic), but truth be told the entire CD is fabulous.

If you are looking for a great modern worship CD to add to your collection I highly recommend We Cry Out from Jeremy Camp! You will not be disappointed!
