About The Book:
When fifteen-year-old Lance Covington finds an abandoned baby in the backseat of a car, he knows she’s the newborn daughter of a meth addict he’s been trying to help. But when police arrest him for kidnapping, Lance is thrust into a criminal world of baby trafficking and drug abuse.
His mother, Barbara, looks for help from Kent Harlan—the man whom she secretly, reluctantly loves and who once helped rescue her daughter from a mess of her own. Kent flies to her aid and begins the impossible work of getting Lance out of trouble, protecting a baby who has no home, and finding help for a teenage mother hiding behind her lies.
In this latest novel of suspense and family loyalty, bestselling author Terri Blackstock offers a harrowing look at drug addiction, human trafficking, and the devastating choices that can change lives forever.
About The Author:
Terri Blackstock is one of my favorite Christian fiction authors, so when I had the opportunity to review Vicious Cycle, I knew it would be a good one. It is book two of the Intervention Series, having been released in February 2011. Though it once again tackles tough issues - drug addiction and human trafficking - Blackstock does so in a way that is sensitive but authentic. With twists and turns throughout you will not want to put this book down. Believe me, I read it in one day!
You will also once again be reminded that our God is a God of miracles and will bring you back to Him, no matter where you have been, what you have done, or how far away you think you are. He is a God of Grace and Mercy and that is seen throughout Vicious Cycle. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series turns out with book three, Down Fall, when it releases in March 2012.
I highly recommend Vicious Cycle, and all books by Terri Blackstock and give it a huge thumbs up!
