Pam Farrel and her husband, Bill, are the authors of and . In addition, Pam has written and are cofounders and codirectors of Love-Wise, an organization to help people connect love and wisdom and bring practical insights to their personal relationships
I am loving this book! Over the last year, I have read a lot of books about marriage but this is by far one of my favorite! It is one that all married women need to have in their personal libraries and refer to regularly. As the description states, the Wow assignments are designed to be done on a weekly basis, which is how I have done it, and so far have surprised my hubby with two assignments and a date night! Super easy to read and the assignment and date ideas are very inexpensive and easy to implement as well. 52 Ways To Wow Your Husband would make the perfect gift for the new bride in your life!
Here is an example from the book:
Wow 42 - Laugh A Little:
Investigate - For a week, observe and write down what makes your man smile, chuckle, laugh and roll on the floor in stitches.
Invest - Buy some tools to keep humor in your love life: joke books, humorous videos, funny cards. Save the addresses of your favorite sites for jokes, video clips, or humorous blogs.
Implement - Every day or so do something that will make your man laugh. Or amp it up and email, text, call or send him humor all day long the day of your big LOL date (see below)
God really does have a sense of humor. Just look at the ostrich. Or how about the act of sex. Only someone with a funny bone could have come up with this system for procreating! Proverbs 17:22 emphasizes the upside of a smile: "A cheerful heart is good medicine". Make a plan to tickle your man's funny bone. It'll make you both feel better.
Make a date to attend a musical comedy, visit a comedy club or Improv performance (www.improv.com), rent a funny video, or DVR a clean comedy special. Some resources for clean comedy are Outreach Comedians, Cleancomic.com, and Inspiring Comedy.
Doesn't this sound like fun! I assure you it is, and my husband and I are going to have so much fun going through these dates and assignments!
I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
