In June 2008, Randy Frazee became the senior minister of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, where he teaches and leads in partnership with pastor and author Max Lucado. Frazee helped create a church-wide experience to utilize The Story, engaging everyone from life-long Christians to those who are new to the faith with the entire Bible - many discovering for the first time how it all fits together.

My Review:

If you know a new Christian, or one that has been a Christian for a long time, and struggles with reading the Bible, then The Story is for you. It is an abridged version of the Bible, and covers all major points of the Bible. It uses actual scripture references, and is theologically strong in its presentation. Super easy to read, you won't even realize that you have read the entire Bible after only 400+ pages. It is a great way to introduce new and young Christians to the discipline of getting into Bible reading and understanding God's love for us in a tangible and easy to understand way.

If you are looking for a great addition to your devotional reading, then The Story is for you. But don't use this as a study too, as it does not dig deep enough in my opinion. For that, use a great study Bible, like the NIV study Bible or my new favorite, the ESV Study Bible.

I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
