Spiritual Warefare for Women: A Book Review

About The Book:

Do You Know How to Protect Your Family, Your Friends--and Yourself?

The enemy is real, and his mission is to hurt you, your family, and your relationships.

But the enemy has no weapon that could ever compare to God's love.

Leighann McCoy, women's minister and speaker, shows how sometimes the most significant spiritual battles are the ones you fight inside yourself. With warmth and wisdom, she offers practical tips on identifying and combating Satan's most powerful attacks, helping you find the victory that comes through knowing who God is and who you are in Him. Spiritual warfare doesn't always mean plunging headlong into the enemy's camp with sword raised high. Sometimes it comes down to a more subtle war between the lies that imprison and the Truth that will set you free.

About The Author:

Leighann McCoy is a sought-after speaker and writer. She is the women's minister at a large Southern Baptist church where her husband serves as pastor and has written a number of devotionals and curricula. She lives with her family in Franklin, Tennessee.

My Review:

McCoy combines serious with humor as she teaches women about the very important topic of spiritual warfare. This is a topic that is so very important in the lives of Christians, and though there have been a number of books on the topic published, this is the first time I have seen one specifically for women. Very timely indeed.

She goes through what spiritual warfare is and why it is so very important to understand it. The book is loaded with scripture that you are encouraged to memorize as part of your Christian journey, giving some fantastic tips for becoming more aware of how Satan can deceive us and how we can battle that deception with Christ by our sides.

A fantastic resource for all Christian women and it would be a great book for small groups or individual study.

I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up.
