About The Author:

Ann Voskamp is a farmer's wife, the home-educating mama to a half-dozen exuberant kids, and the author of the New York Times bestseller One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are. She tells stories. She takes pictures. She sees the whole earth full of the glory of God. A columnist with DaySpring, a contributing editor to Laity Lodge’s The High Calling, and a writer of articles featured in WORLD Magazine, the Huffington Post, and Christianity Today, Ann partners with Compassion International as a global advocate for needy children. The poor have made her rich and telling the stories of those who need a voice has changed her own story. Ann can be found writing about messy grace and a magnificent God at her daily online journal, A Holy Experience

My Review:

It has been about a year since I had the pleasure to read One Thousand Gifts, and I can honestly say it has been a life-changing experience. God has worked through his servant, Ann Voskamp, to allow me to see gifts in my daily life, especially in the tough stuff. What freedom it has been to do that. Of course some days it is much easier to do this but I am so glad that I have. After reading the book, I set out on my journey to record my own one thousand gifts and I am at about 400 now. As I look back at the list, my heart fills with joy.

Recently, I had the opportunity to review Selections from One Thousand Gifts and it is such joy to read Voskamp's beautiful writing once again. Not only does this book include amazing selections but absolutely stunning photography from Ann herself.

This is a great gift idea for all fans of Ann Voskamp, and is going to be a staple on my side table in my living room to be sure.

I highly recommend this book and give it a HUGE thumbs up.
