Soul Detox: A Review and GIVEAWAY!

About The Book:

Our culture unknowingly ingests regular doses of spiritual toxins that assault our relationship with God. Soul Detox shines light on the dark influences, emotions, and behaviors to empower Christians to live pure lives in a filthy world.

As standards of conduct continue to erode in our shock-proof world, we must fight the soul pollution threatening our health, our faith, and our witness to others. Without even knowing it, people willingly inhale second-hand toxins poisoning their relationship with God and stunting their spiritual growth. Soul Detox examines the toxins that assault us daily including: toxic influences, toxic emotions, and toxic behaviors. By examining the toxins that assault us daily, this book offers the ultimate spiritual intervention with ways to remain clean, pure, and focused on the standard of God’s holiness.

My Review:

The opportunity to read and review Soul Detox came at a time in my life when I was struggling with some toxic stuff. I am so glad that it came when it did. As I read through the book, I constantly found myself realizing how toxic some of my relationships and friendship have been, and how they have impacted my entire life. It really stunned me. I think deep down I knew the impact living a toxic life was having but did not truly want to admit anything. However, through reading Groeschel's book and allowing God to use this book, I am on my way to living a less toxic life to be sure.

The book covers so many topics, like friendships, entertainment, influences, behaviors and more. It has encouraged me to really examine my life and gave a number of practical ideas in order to make changes that will help me focus on God's standards for my life.

If you are looking for an encouraging read, while experiencing a toxic influence (whatever form it comes in) I highly recommend that you read Soul Detox. You will be challenged and encouraged as you read it. I know I was!

I give Soul Detox a huge thumbs up!
