Early Childhood Activities for a Greener Earth is definitely one of my new favorite resources to use in my family child care program. The book focuses on all types of environmental activities, from recycling to water to the air we breath and more. All the activities are suited for children from ages three to eight, use many everyday items, and are very adaptable for use with children who have special needs and learning styles. The activities are all listed orderly, giving a step-by-step listing of how to plan and implement environmental activities with children. Chapter 9 gives the reader a great look at how to implement "green" programs in an early childhood education program, as well as a great appendix with other great resources.
If you are looking for a definitive resource to help children learn about the environment around them, I highly recommend Early Childhood Activities for a Greener Earth!
I give this book a huge thumbs up!
