The Majesty of Prayer: A Book Review

About The Book:

The God-centered prayers of beloved pastor and author John MacArthur are profound and moving. They inspire believers to come to the Father—the Lord God Almighty—with their praises, thanksgiving, and requests. Dennis Frates’s stunning landscape photography is a beautiful testimony to this same God, the God of all creation. In picture and words, the reader is drawn into the full worship experience.
Whether given, received, or purchased for personal use, this select collection of Scripture readings and heartfelt prayers encourage the reader to approach God’s throne of grace…and receive His blessing.

Dennis Frates’s love for the outdoors began at an early age and led to a passion for photographing landscapes and nature, which he has done for more than 25 years. His images have graced the covers and pages of National Geographic, Sierra Club, Sunset, and five published books as well as calendars, note cards, and other products.
My Review:
With amazing photography, beautiful prayers, and theologically sound commentary from well-known pastor, John MacArthur, The Majesty of Prayer is a book that will stir your heart to spending time with God, despite the busyness of life.
Each section has a theme and includes a prayer, and several scripture passages and inspirational quotes. This would be a perfect gift idea for Pastor Appreciation Month, which comes up in October, or a wonderful addition to a personal devotional library. I have used it to read to my young children, as a way to expose them to different methods of praying and listening to scripture.
I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
