Vanished: A Book Review

About The Book:

A tenacious reporter. A skeptical PI. And a secret that will shatter lives.
Reporter Moira Harrison is lost. In the dark. In a thunderstorm. When a lone figure suddenly appears in the beam of her headlights, Moira slams on her brakes-but it’s too late. She feels the solid thump against the side of her car before crashing into a tree on the far side of the road.
A man opens her door, tells her he saw everything, and promises to call 911. Then the world fades to black. When she comes to, she is alone. No man. No 911. No injured person. But she can’t forget the look of terror she saw on that face in the instant before her headlights swung away. And she can’t get anyone to believe her story-except maybe a handsome ex–homicide detective turned private eye, who reluctantly agrees to take on the case.
As clues begin to surface, it becomes obvious that someone doesn’t want this mystery solved-and will stop at nothing to protect a shocking secret.

My Review:
It's another hit for Irene Hannon in her most recent release of Vanished! If you already a fan of Hannon, you are going to love Vanished, and if you haven't read her books before, what are you waiting for? She is one of my favorite suspense/romance authors, reminding me a lot of Dee Henderson and Lynette Eason!
Vanished has action right from the very first pages and will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book! I just could not put this one down, and read late into a Saturday night/early Sunday morning to finish it off! Lots of action, intrigue and twists and turns to thrill all fans of this genre for sure.
This is the first book in her new Private Justice series and I cannot wait to see how the rest of the series will play out! I love that her many of her books, while in a series, stand alone nicely as well, so you don't feel lost if you read later volumes then go back to read book one.
I highly recommend this book, and any other Irene Hannon book, and give it a huge thumbs up!
