The Journey of Joesphine Cain: A Blog Tour and Review

About The Book:

When a socialite from the nation’s capital embarks on a journey to the Wild West, her life is changed forever.
A setting populated by hundreds of laborers, outlaws, and Indians is hardly the place for a wealthy general’s daughter. But Josephine Cain is determined to visit her father, who supervises the day-to-day work involved in the grandest ambition of post-Civil War America: the building of the Transcontinental Railroad. Life with the railroad is far from the proper life Josephine is used to, and she faces deadly gunfights, harsh weather, and vigilante uprisings. She is torn between the West and the East; between her privileged upbringing and the challenges of a new frontier; between the pull of the suitable beau her parents approve of and an attraction to a rough but charming Irish railroad worker. But if Josephine is willing, she just might find a new life, a unique purpose . . . and true love.

My Review:
I have several favorite authors and genres when it comes to Christian Fiction. One of these authors is Nancy Moser. I have read several of her novels in the last couple of years, and each one has been fantastic.

Her most recent book, The Journey of Joesphine Cain, has been a fantastic read. It follows the fantastic story lines and characters that can be found in the rest of the American Tapestry Series, yet this sixth installment also has the strength to be a stand-alone novel. You are drawn into the book from the very first chapter and my very favorite character is Joesphine. With her strong determination, I was encouraged by her actions in the book and inspired as I saw her mature and strength throughout the book.

More than the development of a romance in the book, I enjoyed the relatioships that Joesphine development with other women because you see how she matures herself. A great read that anyone who has read this series will love! If you haven't read the other five books in the series you will not be lost reading this one first, but rest assured the other books will quickly be added to your TBR list!

I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
