About The Author:
is a communication pathologist and audiologist who has worked in the area of cognitive neuroscience since 1985. Her pioneering work on neuroplasticity--that changes in thinking actually change the brain and can effect behavioral change--paved the way for her current research on how scientific principles are supported by Scripture and vice versa. She is a prolific author and has been featured on with Joyce Meyer, with James and Betty Robison, , with Sid Roth, and . Dr. Leaf also hosts on TBN. She and her husband, Mac, live in Dallas, Texas, with their four children.
Toxic thinking in our life can ultimately have impacts that we never realize in the beginning. What we expose ourselves to via books, tv, music and more really can be the difference between positive and negative thought processes. Dr. Leaf takes this subject and tackles the relationship between the brain and The Bible, and reminds us that while this correlation does exist, we need to always rely on God to help us control our thoughts, and therefore make a positive change in our life. The book is loaded with scripture references, many graphs and charts, personal illustrations and I absolutely loved the chapter summaries at the end of each chapter. While there is a lot of medical terminology, which initially looked intimidating and scary, the book is written in such a manner that even those of us not in the medical field will understand it and be able to apply the principles easily. A good read that will impact all who read it.
I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
