My Review:
Balanced is a book that must be read by all mom's, especially those that work in the home.
It is full of amazing nuggets that you can use to make your life more balanced. It is a small book, but so full of information!
Tricia does not hide the fact that being a work-at-home-mom is hard, some days almost impossible, but she is so encouraging because she knows what she is writing about. She has been in the trenches that many of us moms find ourselves. I loved that! She writes in a conversational manner and I felt like I was sitting with her in a coffee shop sharing mom stories!
The one thing that stood out to me was the recognition that she could not have gotten where she is on her own. It was only by the grace of God that she not only survived but thrived as a WAHM, and that is the only way we can do so too. With God by our sides, we will have hard days and tough mommy challenges come our way, but He will carry us when we need to be.
The book is well-organized, easy to read and is one that I will reference for many years to come as a WAHM myself. As I read the book, I did not feel guilty for sometime feeling overwhelmed. Instead I was encouraged and challenged to make a few changes and already I am seeing results (listing priorities, and sticking to those is one idea and is working fantastically!)
If you are looking for encouragement for your mommy journey, or you know a WAHM that needs encouragement, I cannot recommend this book enough! It will change the way you look at working from home forever.
I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up.
