Meant To Be Mine: A Book Review

About The Book:

Ty Porter has always been irresistible to Celia Park. All through high school--irresistible. When their paths cross again after college--still irresistible. This time, though, Ty seems to feel exactly the same way about Celia. Their whirlwind romance deposits them at a street-corner Las Vegas wedding chapel.

The next morning they wake to a marriage certificate and a dose of cold reality. Celia's ready to be Ty's wife, but Ty's not ready to be her husband. He's a professional bull rider, he lives on the road, and he's long planned to settle down with the hometown girl he's known since childhood.

Five and a half years pass. Celia's buried her dreams so that she can afford to raise her daughter. Ty's achieved all of his goals. Or thought he had, until he looks again into the eyes of the woman he couldn't forget and into the face of the child he never knew he had.

How much will Ty sacrifice to win back Celia's trust and prove to her that their spontaneous marriage can still become the love of a lifetime?

My Review:

Becky Wade is one of my new favorite authors of Christian Romance over the last three or four years!  I really quite enjoyed the first book in this series, Undeniably Yours, and so was looking very forward to this new book, Meant To Be Mine.

First things first, while it is the second book in a series, it will actually do well as a stand alone novel. If you haven't read the first book, no fear, there is no reason to not pick this one up. While a few of the characters are recurring from Undeniably Yours, there are even more new ones to warm your heart and cheer on. The story lines are great, and show the reader that even those who call themselves Christian deal with things like infidelity, addiction and self esteem issues. And that is okay, because it is only through faith in Christ that we can move forward and overcome these and other issues in our lives. I especially loved the faith development between the two main characters. With a few twists and turns that happen in any relationship, all things come together at the end of the book, and I found myself cheering on the characters with vigor!

A great read that I highly recommend and give a huge thumbs for!
