A Bouquet of Love: A Blog Review

About The Book:

She didn't expect to fall in love--but roses aren't the only thing blooming on Galveston Island

Cassia Pappas has found herself in a nearly impossible situation. She wants to spend her time immersed in her new job at a Galveston Island floral shop, arranging blooms and brightening occasions with her lovely creations. But her boisterous Greek family--especially her father--has other ideas. They've all relocated to Galveston to open up a new family restaurant located on the Strand--directly across the street from iconic pizza place Parma John's--and they want Cassia's full participation.

To make matters worse, as Cassia is trying to develop a strong professional relationship with Galveston's premier wedding coordinator, Bella Neeley, her own father is intent on stealing all of the Rossi family's faithful customers. Not exactly the best way to get into this former Rossi's good graces!

Still, at least Alex, that hot delivery guy from the nursery, is always hanging around the flower shop . . .

My Review:

This has been the most fun novel I had the pleasure to read through my summer reading. I laughed so hard sometimes I think my husband thought I was losing it :)

With the classic writing style that Thompson is known for, you will be delighted as you read this most recent addition to the Weddings By Design series (I believe it is also the final book). All the great characters from the other three books are back for another adventure. The fact that family can drive us crazy sometimes but we still love them is a key theme seen throughout the book, as well as the consequences of pride, and competition. The book was a very fast read, had a great story line (several actually) and it's a book that current fans of Janice Thompson would love, and if you have never read any of Thompson's books this is a great one to start with. While it is part of a series, it works well as a stand alone book as well. The author has a great sense of humor and it's very apparent that family means a lot to her. You will not be disappointed when you read a Janice Thompson book!

I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
