For two years, Allan and Michele have been trying to have a baby. The emotional ride has been taking a toll on their hearts--and their relationship. Michele is obsessed with researching fertility treatments while Allan seems content to spend his time--and their money--on supporting displaced children in Africa. Something's got to give. But they both hope it's not their marriage.
Still, God has a plan for Allan and Michele that they could never have imagined. And all it takes to set it in motion is a change of heart . . .

My Review:

I have had the amazing privilege of reading reviewing all of Dan Walsh's book over the last several years and it's not been since reading Nicholas Sparks that I have been so impressed with a male author of the romance genre of novels.

With each read of Walsh's books, I have cheered on the characters, cried for them, gotten angry with them and mostly, have been able to relate to them. This is no different with the newest addition to The Restoration Series that Walsh writes with Dr. Gary Smalley.

It covers the theme of infertility and the impact that can have on a family, adoption, missions and how God's plan for us is always more important then our plans for us. The books in this series take real life issues, and by combining the gifts of the authors of counselling and writing, allow us, the readers, to really connect with the amazingly developed characters. I felt myself crying for them, cheering them on and relating to the characters on so many levels. That is a measure of a great read!

While The Desire is the third book in The Restoration Series, it does well as a stand alone novel too. I think that this heartwarming, touching book is my favorite so far and I look forward to the next book, The Legacy, which releases in April 2015. This will be the final book of the series, but I cannot wait to see what comes next from Dan Walsh and Gary Smalley both.

I highly recommend this book and I give it a huge thumbs up!
