About The Book:
Guys, we all know life is crazy busy. We can be inundated with tasks, jobs, commitments, and activities. The truth is, men need to find a place to get away, chill out, and reenergize. Wherever your man cave may be, carve out a few minutes each day to refuel in it.
To be healthy both emotionally and spiritually, we need food. Guys love to eat! Spiritual food for the mind and soul is a vital as food for the body. If Joe "Jaws" Chestnut can eat sixty-six hot dogs in twelve minutes to win a hot dog eating contest, I challenge you to give God the same amount of time to read one of these devotions each day in your man cave.
About The Author:
For Todd, Art has always remained that 'dream' he has continued to pursue. Todd was involved in a family run business for over 20 years, but the search was there to do something more related to his gifting. taking steps towards pursuing his dreams, Todd became a firefighter in 2004.
Moving closer to the heart of his dreams, Todd has rekindled his passion for Art. His desire is to continue creating thought provoking pieces of art.
Todd has completed a number of commissioned projects and recently had his art published in a collaboration with his wife Sherry, providing the illustrations within her devotional with study guide 'Water in the Desert'.
In 2013, Xulon Press selected Todd to be one of their 'preferred' illustrators creating art for future publications. Just recently Todd illustrated another Xulon book soon to be released called 'The ABC's of Gods's Character 'for children and his current project is providing the illustrations for Dr. Betty Lewis's 'The Bumblebee Story'
Before the paint hits the canvas Todd always sketches out the visuals he sees formulated in his head onto pieces of paper or even a napkin when inspiration strikes. His best work tends to be on life lessons and experiences which reflect his deep inner passions.
We hope his art conveys a message of inspiration, change and a passion that impacts your heart!
So since I am not a man, I had my husband read 40 Days in the Man Cave, and wanted to share his thoughts with you all. The first thing that impressed him about the book is how quick each devotional was to read. Each is only about a page or two, with several scriptures to read for further study. He liked that the topics discussed were able ones that he (and other men he knows) would relate to. He also felt it would be a great gift idea for any man on their journey with Christ, whether they were a new believer or have been one for years. It was easy to read and comprehend and would be great for all ages over 18 years. And with Christmas only a couple of months away, it would be a great gift idea.
I highly recommend this book and give it a huge thumbs up!
